750 Golden Gate Avenue
The 750 Golden Gate Avenue affordable housing project in San Francisco proposes the demolition of an existing surface parking lot and the construction of an 8-story affordable housing multifamily residential building consisting of 75 residential units and 25 covered parking spaces on level 1 to be used by the California Employment Development Department. Level 1 includes a lobby, building management office spaces, utility spaces, and the EDD garage. Level 2 consists of a private courtyard at the center and common spaces for residents. Levels 2 through 8 contain residential units and include a mixture of studios, 1-bedrooms, 2-bedrooms, and 3-bedroom units. This public housing project will be funded with financing provided by the California Tax Credit Allocation Committee (TCAC), the California Housing and Community Development Department, the California Debt Limit Allocation Committee (CDLAC), and the Federal Home Loan Bank Act Affordable Housing Program (AHP). Carlile Macy was responsible for designing the site improvements, including storm drain, sewer, stormwater control, and water. Permitting included SFPUC, SFMTA, SFDPW, and SFDBI. The design included conforming to existing streets along the building frontages while maintaining ADA accessibility.
