Celebrating Landscape Architecture and Civil Engineering

For 30 years, Carlile Macy has been shaped by the people behind our work. We’re proud to highlight members of our Engineering and Landscape Architecture teams whose creativity, technical insight, and thoughtful approach to every project continue to shape the communities we serve.

Landscape Architecture

Blending a strong horticultural background with a passion for sustainable design, Sabrina Swanson-Schneckloth creates landscapes that are both visually compelling and resilient. Her experience in the nursery industry, combined with her knowledge as our ISA Certified Arborist and Tree Risk Assessor, brings thoughtful, plant-focused expertise to every project.

As an emerging professional and recent graduate of UC Davis, Paulynn Cruz approaches each project with curiosity and a fresh perspective. Her academic background supports a thoughtful, research-driven approach to design, and she is passionate about learning, growing, and contributing new ideas to the team.

Civil Engineering

With a strong analytical mindset and an interest in how infrastructure performs over time, Rachelle Stewart specializes in hydro reports and stormwater design. Her background in hydraulic modeling and water systems supports a thoughtful approach to refining solutions through careful study, historical data, and attention to detail.

Drawing from both residential construction and civil engineering experience, Alan Furste brings practical, solutions-oriented perspectives to stormwater and site development projects. His work on more than 250 rebuild plot plans following the Tubbs Fire reflects a commitment to helping our community rebuild and recover.

A collaborative problem-solver with expertise in grading, drainage, and site design, Jessica Begley enjoys navigating complex site challenges and developing creative, efficient solutions for multi-family residential and commercial projects.

Balancing technical performance with environmental responsibility, Cindy Valladares specializes in stormwater design and low-impact development strategies. Her background in hydrology, hydraulic modeling, and pavement research supports her thoughtful approach to developing sustainable site solutions.
