Located in Santa Rosa’s Railroad Square, Carlile • Macy was formed in 1996 by the merger of two long-established Santa Rosa civil engineering firms. The current leadership team brings decades of experience in diverse public and private projects in Northern California. - Initial Planning and Design: Carlile • Macy surveyors, planners, landscape architects, and civil engineers handle detailed surveys, preliminary layouts, feasibility studies, landscape master plans, design guidelines, use permits, the processing of documents with public agencies, project representation, and entitlement processing.
- Detailed Solutions: Our civil engineers and landscape architects devise practical, precise and creative solutions for each project by preparing construction documents, including improvement plans, street design, utility, and landscape architectural plans with detailed specifications and construction contract forms. Once the documents are approved, our surveyors stake the project improvements to facilitate actual construction.
- Construction Management: A Carlile • Macy project manager works with the contractor, and public inspectors, to ensure that construction is completed according to plans and specifications. We assist with project field coordination, progress pay requests, preparation of change orders, in-the-field problem-solving, and schedule management.
